Rudolph Santobello

Imagine a person who was part of a secret group called the Genovese crime family. That was Rudolph Santobello! He was like a captain in this group, helping to lead others. He lived in New York City, a place full of tall buildings and busy streets. His life was quite different from most people's, filled with some very serious events.

One night, something very serious happened. Rudolph Santobello and a friend were involved in an event where a police officer was sadly hurt. It was a scary situation, and Rudolph was caught. He said the police were very rough with him, which must have been frightening. Because of this, he was sent to prison for a very long time.

Sometimes, rules change, and that's exactly what happened! A big court decision meant Rudolph could leave prison. But his adventures weren't over! Later, a brave police officer named Frank Serpico caught him doing something else that wasn't allowed. He went back to prison for a little while, but again, he got out early!

In his later years, Rudolph Santobello had a favorite spot called 'Club Arthur's'. It was a place where he and his friends would hang out. He got involved in games where people bet money, like craps and other betting games. He was even caught and sent to prison again for these activities, but he always seemed to find a way to get out.
