Here, students learn everything about music, from playing instruments like the piano and violin to writing their own songs.

It's a place where dreams of becoming a famous musician can start to come true!

A Long, Long Time Ago...

This amazing music school started way back in 1882. That's older than your grandparents, and maybe even your great-grandparents! It was started with a special permission called a 'royal charter' from the Queen. Since then, thousands of talented people have walked through its doors, learning to make beautiful music and share it with everyone. It's been making music history for over 140 years!

Superstar Musicians Learn Here!

At the RCM, you can learn to play almost any instrument you can think of, and even learn how to lead an orchestra! The teachers are musicians who are famous all over the world for their amazing skills. They teach students how to be the best performers and composers they can be. It's like having superheroes of music as your teachers, showing you all their secret powers!

Music Connects the World!

Students at the RCM come from all over the planet, like from over 50 different countries! This means the music they learn and create is influenced by lots of different cultures. They learn Western music, which is the kind of music you often hear in concerts and movies. This school helps people from everywhere share their love for music and make the world a more harmonious place.
