The Royal College of Music, or RCM for short, is like a special school for music wizards! It's in a big city called London, right across the street from a famous round building called the Royal Albert Hall. Here, students learn everything about music, from playing instruments like the piano and violin to writing their own songs.

A Long, Long Time Ago...
This amazing music school started way back in 1882. That's older than your grandparents, and maybe even your great-grandparents! It was started with a special permission called a 'royal charter' from the Queen. Since then, thousands of talented people have walked through its doors, learning to make beautiful music and share it with everyone. It's been making music history for over 140 years!

At the RCM, you can learn to play almost any instrument you can think of, and even learn how to lead an orchestra! The teachers are musicians who are famous all over the world for their amazing skills. They teach students how to be the best performers and composers they can be. Students at the RCM come from all over the planet, like from over 50 different countries! This means the music they learn and create is influenced by lots of different cultures.
