Ron DeSantis

Ron DeSantis is a person who became a big leader in Florida. He was born a long time ago, in 1978. Before he was a leader, he was a sailor in the Navy! He went to special schools like Yale and Harvard. Now, he is the Governor of Florida, which means he is like the main boss of the whole state. He also tried to become the President of the United States!

When Ron DeSantis was in the Navy, he was a brave officer. He helped SEAL teams, who are super skilled soldiers. He even went to a place called Guantanamo Bay and then to Iraq! Imagine being so far from home, helping keep people safe. When he came back, he worked as a lawyer for the government. It’s like he was a superhero lawyer for the country!

After his Navy adventures, Ron DeSantis decided to work with people in Florida. He was elected to be a part of Congress, which is like a big meeting place for leaders from all over the country. Then, he wanted to be the Governor of Florida. He won that job and has been the Governor since 2019. He helps make important decisions for everyone in Florida.

As Governor, Ron DeSantis has made many important choices. He was in charge when a big storm called Hurricane Ian happened. He also helped make new rules for schools and families. He even ran for President! Even though he didn't win that race, he is still the Governor of Florida, a very important job.
