Rishon LeZion

Rishon LeZion is a city in Israel, like a big neighborhood near the sunny coast. It's about as far from Tel Aviv as a long bus ride! The weather is usually warm and nice, perfect for playing outside. It's part of a bigger area called Gush Dan, which is like a giant family of cities all living close together.

A long, long time ago, in 1882, some brave people came to this land. They wanted to build a new home. Rishon LeZion was the very first new town they started, like being the first kid to build a sandcastle on a new beach! It was named 'First to Zion' because they were heading towards a special place.

Rishon LeZion is a really big city now! It has more people than you can count on your fingers and toes, even if you had a million fingers! It's one of the top five biggest cities in all of Israel. That means there are lots of friends to make and fun things to do there.
