Rachel Corrie

Imagine a girl named Rachel who loved to write stories and poems. She was born a long, long time ago, in 1979, in a place called Washington state in America. Rachel was a very kind person who believed everyone should be treated fairly and that fighting was never the answer. She wanted to help make the world a more peaceful place for everyone.

Rachel decided to go on a special trip to a faraway land called Gaza. She wanted to help people there and show them that she cared. She joined other friends who also believed in peace. They wanted to stop houses from being knocked down. Rachel wore a bright vest so everyone could see her, like a superhero costume!

One day, while Rachel was trying to protect houses, a big, yellow bulldozer was working. Sadly, the bulldozer accidentally hit Rachel. It was a very sad day. But even though she is not with us anymore, people remember Rachel because she was so brave and believed so strongly in peace. Her stories and poems, called a diary, help us understand her feelings.

Rachel Corrie is remembered because she was a young person who stood up for what she believed in, even when it was scary. She showed that one person can make a difference by speaking out for peace. Her diary is like a window into her heart, showing us her hopes and dreams for a better world. People still share her story to inspire others to be kind and peaceful.
