Querétaro

Querétaro is a special state in Mexico, like a puzzle piece in the middle of the country. It's not too big, but it's packed with different kinds of nature! To its north is San Luis Potosí, to the west is Guanajuato, and to the east is Hidalgo.

It's like having different neighbors all around! The main city, where lots of people live and work, is called Santiago de Querétaro. It's the heart of the state!

Querétaro is super diverse! Some parts are dry and sandy like a desert, perfect for cacti. But other parts, especially in a place called the Sierra Gorda, are like a secret jungle with tall trees and lots of rain. It's like having two different playgrounds in one state! This means lots of different plants and animals can call Querétaro home. It's a land of many climates!

People have lived in Querétaro for thousands of years! Long before cars or schools, different groups of people lived here. They built small villages and farmed the land. When explorers from Spain arrived a long time ago, they started building new towns, like Santiago de Querétaro. This city became very important and still is today, like the main character in the state's story!

In Querétaro, people work hard at many different jobs. Some people make things in factories, like parts for cars. Others work on farms, growing yummy food. Because it's a special place, many people also work in jobs that help the state run smoothly, like teachers in schools or people who help make important decisions. It's a busy place with lots of different ways to make a living!
