Philolaus

Philolaus was a super-duper smart person who lived a long, long time ago, even before your grandparents' grandparents were born! He was a philosopher, which means he loved to think about big questions like how the world works. He was part of a group called the Pythagoreans, who were really into numbers and music.

Philolaus was so important that some people think he was the next leader of this group after the famous Pythagoras!

Philolaus was born in a place called a Greek colony, which was like a special town far away from Greece, in a country called Italy. But he didn't stay there forever! He moved to Greece to learn and share his amazing ideas.

He was like a traveling scholar, bringing his thoughts to new places. He learned from a school that loved math and also believed in some mystical ideas, like numbers having special powers.

Here's the coolest part: Philolaus had a mind-blowing idea about space! Most people back then thought Earth was the center of everything, like a big spinning playground. But Philolaus said, 'Nope!' He thought there was a giant 'Central Fire' in the middle of the universe, and Earth, the Sun, and other planets all danced around it.
