People's Party of Canada

Canada is a super big country, like a giant playground! The People's Party of Canada is a group of people who want to help run this big country. They have ideas about how Canada should be, kind of like how you have ideas about how to play a game. They started their team in 2018, which is not too long ago, like when you started a new grade at school!

The leader of this team is named Maxime Bernier. He used to be part of another big team called the Conservative Party. But then he decided to start his own team! For a while, he was the only person on his team in the big Canadian government building. It’s like being the only kid in your class for a little bit. But he kept trying to get more people to join his team!

This team has some special ideas. They think Canada should welcome fewer people from other countries each year, maybe like filling up a big school bus instead of two! They also have ideas about how Canada should act in the world. They don't always agree with other teams on big things like protecting the planet or helping businesses. They like to share their ideas loudly!

Even though they have big ideas, it's been tricky for the People's Party to get lots of people to vote for them. In the last few elections, they haven't had anyone win a seat in the government building. It’s like trying to win a big race but not quite getting to the finish line first. But they keep trying and sharing their message with everyone in Canada!
