Long, long ago, even before your grandparents were born, scientists started to learn about the amazing parts inside our bodies. They looked very closely at animals and people to see how everything worked. They discovered that different parts, like the heart and the brain, had very specific jobs.

They gave these special parts names, like 'organs,' and started to understand how they all worked together to keep us alive and healthy. It was like solving a giant puzzle!

Without organs, we couldn't do anything! Your brain helps you think, learn, and play. Your heart keeps your blood moving, which is like a delivery service for your whole body, bringing good stuff and taking away waste.

Your lungs help you run and jump by giving you air. Your stomach and intestines help you get energy from food. Every single organ has a vital role, and they all work together like a well-oiled machine to keep you going every single day.

There are many different organs in your body, and they come in all shapes and sizes. Some are small, like your tonsils, while others are big, like your skin, which covers your whole body! Your liver is about the size of a football, and your heart is about the size of your fist.

They all have different jobs, but they need to work together. For example, your digestive organs break down food, and then your circulatory system (powered by your heart) carries the nutrients to all the other organs.
