Nusantara (city)

Nusantara is a super exciting city being built on the island of Borneo in Indonesia. It's going to be the new capital city, like the main office where important decisions are made! Right now, it's like a giant construction site, with lots of workers building roads and buildings. It's located on the east coast of Borneo, a place known for its amazing rainforests and cool animals.

This city is so new that it's still being built! Construction started in 2022, and it's planned to be finished by 2045, which is Indonesia's 100th birthday! It's a HUGE project, costing a lot of money, like buying thousands and thousands of toys. The first part being built is called the 'Main Governmental Area', where the president and other leaders will work.

Indonesia's old capital, Jakarta, is super crowded, like a playground at recess with too many kids! It's also sinking a little into the ground. So, they decided to build Nusantara to give everyone more space and make sure the government has a safe and modern place to work. It's like moving your toys to a bigger toy box so you have more room to play!

Even though it's still being built, people are already visiting Nusantara! It's becoming a tourist spot, with thousands of people coming to see the progress. Some buildings are already finished, like the special State Palace where the president lives and works, and parks for people to enjoy. It's like seeing the first few rooms of a new house being built!
