Where is Nineveh Governorate?
Nineveh Governorate is a special place way up in the northern part of Iraq. Think of Iraq as a big country, and Nineveh is like a big slice from the top part of it. It's a pretty big area, almost as big as some small countries!
It's home to a very famous city called Mosul, which is like the capital of this whole region. Mosul sits right next to a super old, ancient city called Nineveh, which is like a ghost city from long, long ago!

This land is like a giant history book! It has amazing ruins from ancient times, like the city of Nineveh itself. Imagine buildings so old they were around when dinosaurs might have roamed the Earth, but these were built by people!
