Nikita Khrushchev

Nikita Khrushchev was a big boss in a country called the Soviet Union a long time ago. He was born in a small village and worked with metal when he was young. Later, he became super important and was in charge of the whole country for many years! He was like the principal of a giant school, but way bigger.

One of the most surprising things Nikita did was tell everyone that the previous leader, Joseph Stalin, wasn't so great. He said Stalin had done some bad things, and this was a huge shock! It was like finding out your teacher had a secret diary and read it aloud to the whole class. This made things a little less scary for people.

Nikita's time in charge was also when humans sent the first satellite, Sputnik, into space! Wow! But things got scary too. There was a time called the Cuban Missile Crisis, which was a super tense moment where the world worried about a big fight. It was like a playground argument that almost turned into a huge problem.

Eventually, other leaders decided Nikita shouldn't be in charge anymore, so he retired. He got to live in a nice house and write his stories. Even though he's not around anymore, people still learn about him because he made big changes and was part of some very important world events.
