Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah

Imagine a super important leader in a country called Namibia! That's Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, or 'NNN' for short. She was born a long, long time ago, on October 29, 1952.

She is now the President of Namibia, which is like being the captain of a big ship! What's really cool is that she is the very first woman to ever be president there. Before that, she was the Vice President, helping the president before her.

NNN has been working for Namibia for a super long time, like 57 years! That's longer than you've been alive, and even longer than your parents have been alive! She started her journey in politics when she was quite young.

She has held many important jobs, like being a minister in charge of different things. She was even the first woman to run for president for her political group, SWAPO, and the first woman to be the vice president of SWAPO.

Having the first woman president is a HUGE deal! It shows that anyone can become a leader, no matter if they are a boy or a girl. NNN has worked hard for a very long time to help her country.

She was the Deputy Prime Minister, which is like being the second-in-command, and she also worked with other countries and took care of the environment and tourism. Her hard work shows that dedication pays off!

Before becoming president, NNN was the Vice President from 2024 to 2025. Before that, she was the Deputy Prime Minister for almost 10 years! She also led important ministries, like the one for International Relations and Cooperation, where she helped Namibia work with other countries. She even managed the Ministry of Environment and Tourism, helping to protect nature and welcome visitors.
