Nayib Bukele

Nayib Bukele is the president of a country called El Salvador. Imagine a leader who's also a bit like a super-smart businessman! He was born a long time ago, in 1981. Before becoming president, he was a mayor, which is like being the boss of a city. He became president in 2019, and lots of people in his country really like him!

Before Nayib Bukele became president, he was really good at advertising! He even helped run an advertising company. Then, he decided to try leading a city called Nuevo Cuscatlán, and he did such a good job that he became the mayor of a much bigger city, San Salvador. It's like going from being the captain of a small boat to the captain of a giant cruise ship!

One of the biggest things Nayib Bukele has done is try to make El Salvador a safer place. When he became president, there were a lot of bad guys causing trouble. He started a plan to stop them, and it worked! The number of bad things happening went down a lot. It's like when your parents make rules to keep your house safe and tidy.

Nayib Bukele is also super interested in new technology, especially something called Bitcoin. Bitcoin is like digital money that you can use on computers and phones. He made it so people in El Salvador can use Bitcoin to buy things, just like they use regular money! It’s like trying out a brand new game that everyone can play.
