MV Regent Sky

The MV Regent Sky was supposed to be a super-duper cruise ship, like a floating hotel with pools and fun places! It was being built to be one of four sister ships for a company called Stena Line. Think of it like a big family of boats all built at the same time. But this one never got to finish its journey to becoming a real cruise ship.

This giant boat started its life in a place called Poland. It was going to be named Stena Baltica. But then, another company, Regency Cruises, bought it! They moved the unfinished boat all the way to Greece. It was like moving to a new school, but for a boat! Sadly, the new owners had some money problems, and the boat couldn't become the amazing cruise ship they planned.

Even though it was almost a cruise ship, the MV Regent Sky never got to take people on vacation. It stayed unfinished for a long time. Sometimes, big projects don't get finished, and that's okay. This boat had a different kind of story. Instead of sailing the seas, it had a different destiny. It was like a toy that was almost built but then put away.

After many years, in 2011, the MV Regent Sky was sold. But it wasn't sold to become a cruise ship. It was sold to be recycled, which means its parts would be used to make new things. It's like taking apart an old toy to use its pieces for something new. So, even though it never got to be a cruise ship, its story is still interesting!
