Montreal

Imagine a giant island in a big river! That's where Montreal is. It's in the country of Canada, way up north. The river is called the Saint Lawrence River, and it's so wide it looks like a long, blue highway. Montreal is like a big playground built on this island, with parks and tall buildings. It gets cold in the winter, with lots of snow, and warm and sunny in the summer for playing outside.

Montreal is famous for its delicious food! Have you ever tried poutine? It's french fries with cheese curds and gravy – super tasty! People here love to celebrate. There are lots of festivals with music, art, and parades. It's like a party happening all the time! People speak both French and English, so you can say 'Bonjour' and 'Hello'!

Lots of people in Montreal have interesting jobs. Some work in places that make airplanes, which are like giant metal birds! Others work in hospitals helping people, or in shops selling cool things. Many people also work in schools, teaching kids new things. It's a busy city where everyone works together to make it a great place to live.
