The Minister of External Affairs is like India's chief storyteller to other countries! They make sure everyone knows what India thinks and needs. It's a super important job because they help India make friends and work with other nations.
They are one of the most senior people in the government, like the captain of a big team. This minister helps decide India's plans for dealing with the rest of the world. Sometimes, they even have helpers called Ministers of State to assist them.

This special job started when India became a free country in 1947. The very first person to do this job was Jawaharlal Nehru, who was also India's first Prime Minister! He was the minister for a super long time, 17 years!
