Megalith

Megaliths are like super-sized stones that ancient people moved and stacked a long, long time ago. You can find them in many places all over the world, like in Europe, Asia, and Africa. Think of them as nature's building blocks that humans decided to use for special projects.

They often stand in fields or on hills, sometimes near the sea. These places can be windy and have lots of rain, but the stones just stay put!

Nobody knows exactly who built all the megaliths, but they were made by people who lived thousands of years ago, even before castles or pyramids! They didn't have trucks or cranes like we do. They probably used ropes, logs, and lots of teamwork to push and pull these enormous rocks. It was a huge effort, like trying to move a school bus with just your hands!

Megaliths are amazing because they are so big and old. Some stones are taller than a giraffe! People think they were used for important things like marking special places, celebrating the sun and moon, or as tombs for important people. They are like ancient puzzles that scientists are still trying to solve. Imagine seeing a stone that's been standing there for 5,000 years!

Megaliths show us that people long ago were very clever and strong. They could plan and build things that still stand today.
