Marriott World Trade Center

Once upon a time, there was a very special hotel called the New York Marriott World Trade Center. It was part of a giant group of buildings called the World Trade Center in New York City. This hotel was 22 stories tall and had 825 rooms, which is like having rooms for a whole lot of families!

It opened a long, long time ago, in 1981, and was the first big hotel to open in that part of the city in almost 150 years!

One day, something scary happened. A bomb went off near the hotel. It made the hotel a little bit broken. The people in charge thought about tearing it down, but instead, they decided to fix it up and make it strong again. They made the building even stronger, and it opened its doors again in 1994. Then, a company called Marriott bought it and gave it its new name!

Sadly, in 2001, another terrible event happened. Planes crashed into the famous Twin Towers next to the hotel. The hotel was mostly destroyed because the towers fell down. It was a very sad time. Even though the hotel was gone, the spot where it stood is still important, and a new building is there now, using the same number: 3 World Trade Center.

This hotel was special because it was part of the amazing World Trade Center complex. It was a place where people could stay when they visited the big city. Even though it's not there anymore, it's remembered as a part of New York's story. It showed how buildings can be rebuilt and how places can change over time.
