Meet Little Red Riding Hood!

Once upon a time, there was a sweet girl who everyone called Little Red Riding Hood. Why? Because she always wore a beautiful red cape with a hood! Her grandma was sick, so her mom asked her to take a basket of yummy treats to her house. But Grandma lived deep in the forest, and Mom told her to stay on the path. It’s like when your parents tell you to stay where they can see you at the park!

Uh Oh! A Sneaky Wolf!

On her way, Little Red Riding Hood met a big, furry wolf. He looked friendly, but he was actually very sneaky and hungry! He asked her where she was going. The wolf wanted to get to Grandma’s house first. He told her to pick some pretty flowers for Grandma, but that was just a trick! While Red was picking flowers, the wolf ran ahead to Grandma's house.

Grandma's House is a Surprise!

When Little Red Riding Hood finally arrived at Grandma’s house, something seemed strange. Grandma looked different. She had big ears, big eyes, and a very big mouth! Red asked, "What big ears you have, Grandma!" The wolf, pretending to be Grandma, said, "The better to hear you with, my dear!" Then Red asked about her big eyes and big teeth. The wolf couldn't wait any longer and jumped out!

A Story That's Been Told Forever!

This story is super old, like, older than your grandparents' grandparents! It was first written down a long, long time ago in France by a man named Charles Perrault. But people were telling stories like this even before that. Later, two brothers, the Brothers Grimm, wrote it down again. It’s a famous fairy tale that has been told and retold many times, with different endings and characters!
