LATAM Airlines Flight 800 is a super-duper big airplane, a Boeing 787-9! Think of it like a giant metal bird that carries lots of people across the world. On March 11, 2024, this amazing plane was flying from a sunny place called Sydney, Australia, all the way to a faraway land called Chile. It was supposed to be a smooth trip, but something unexpected happened!

About two hours after taking off, while flying high above the clouds, the airplane suddenly gave a big wobble! It wasn't a normal bumpy ride from wind. This was a bit more surprising.
