A City That Touched the Sky!

Kowloon Walled City was a super crowded place in Hong Kong. It wasn't like a normal city with wide streets. Instead, buildings were built right next to each other, super tall and close together. It was like a giant, unplanned apartment building that grew and grew. This made it one of the most crowded places on Earth, with so many people living in a small space!

From Fort to Funky Town!

Long ago, Kowloon Walled City started as a fort to protect China. But then, people started moving in, especially after a big war. More and more people came, and the fort turned into a busy town. It became a special place where rules were a bit different, and lots of people lived very close together, sharing the same small area.

Life in the Big City!

Living in Kowloon Walled City was unique! Because it was so crowded, people had to be creative. Homes were small, and many families lived in tiny apartments. There were shops and places to eat everywhere. It was a bustling place with lots of activity, and people learned to live closely with their neighbors, sharing the same narrow paths and stairways.

Bye Bye, Walled City!

Eventually, the government decided it was time for the Walled City to change. They helped everyone move out, and then the buildings were carefully taken down. Where the busy city once stood, a beautiful park was built! Now, Kowloon Walled City Park is a peaceful place where people can relax and remember the amazing, crowded city that used to be there.
