Juscelino Kubitschek

Juscelino Kubitschek, or JK for short, was a very important person in Brazil. He became president a long, long time ago, from 1956 to 1961. He had a super exciting plan called '50 years in 5'.

This meant he wanted to make Brazil grow and change super fast, like a rocket! He was a doctor before he became president, which is pretty cool. He loved his country and wanted to make it the best it could be.
