Jozo Tomasevich

Imagine a person who loved learning so much, they became a professor! That was Jozo Tomasevich. He was born a long, long time ago, in a place that is now Croatia. He was super curious and wanted to understand how countries worked, especially how they managed their money and how people lived. He studied really hard and became an expert on a country called Yugoslavia.

Jozo's journey took him from his home country all the way to America! He got a special ticket, like a scholarship, to study at a famous university called Harvard. Later, he became a teacher himself at San Francisco State University. He taught students for many years, sharing his knowledge about history and economics, which is all about how money and resources are used.

One of Jozo's biggest adventures was writing books about a very important time in Yugoslavia's history: World War II. He wanted to tell the whole story, so he planned three big books. He wrote about different groups of people and what happened during the war. His books were so good that people still read them today to learn about that time!

Jozo Tomasevich was like a history detective. He dug deep to find out the truth about Yugoslavia. His books help us understand how countries change and how important it is to remember the past. Even though he couldn't finish his last book, the ones he did write are like treasures that teach us so much about history and the world.
