Joe Kent

Imagine someone who used to be a secret agent, like in the movies! That's kind of like Joe Kent. He was a special soldier called a warrant officer in the U.S. Army, and he also worked for a super-secret agency called the CIA. Now, he's a politician, which means he helps make important decisions for our country. He was born on April 11, 1980, and has had some really exciting jobs!

Before becoming a politician, Joe Kent had many amazing adventures. He served in the Army's 75th Ranger Regiment, which is a very elite group. He went on eleven missions to places like Iraq, which is far away! These missions were very important for keeping people safe. He retired from the Army and then worked for the CIA, doing even more important work.

Sadly, something very sad happened. In 2019, Joe Kent's wife, Shannon, was hurt in a bombing. This made him want to help people even more. After this, he decided to become a politician to try and make big changes. He wanted to speak up for what he believed in and help his community.

Joe Kent decided to run for a job in the U.S. House of Representatives. This is a very important job where people make laws. He ran to represent a place called Washington's third congressional district. He tried twice, in 2022 and 2024, to get elected. Even though he didn't win, he still worked hard to share his ideas and help people.
