Jhala Nath Khanal

Imagine a very important person in a country called Nepal. That's Jhala Nath Khanal! He was born a long, long time ago, on May 20, 1950. He became a leader, like a captain of a team, for his country. He even became the Prime Minister, which is like the boss of the whole country for a little while!

Being Prime Minister is a super big job! It means you help make big decisions for everyone in the country. Jhala Nath Khanal was the Prime Minister of Nepal from February 2011 to August 2011. That's about half a year! He had to think about what was best for all the people living there.

Before becoming Prime Minister, Jhala Nath Khanal was also the leader of a big political group called the CPN (UML). Think of it like being the captain of a very large club! He was also the leader of the people in the Constituent Assembly, which is a group that helps make important rules for the country.

Even though he was Prime Minister a while ago, Jhala Nath Khanal is still involved in helping his country. He is now a senior leader in a new political party. This party is made up of many different groups joining together. He continues to share his ideas and help guide Nepal.
