Javary River

The Javary River is a super long river, like a giant snake winding through the land! It's 1,184 kilometers long, which is longer than driving from your house to grandma's house many, many times. This amazing river acts like a fence, forming the border between two countries, Brazil and Peru, for over 500 kilometers. That's a really long fence made of water!

You can travel on the Javary River in a canoe for a very long way, about 900 kilometers! That's almost the whole river! It's like paddling your way through a giant, watery playground. But, only a smaller part of the river is good for bigger boats like steamships. The land around the river is very flat, like a giant, smooth table.

Lots of little nature parks are along the Javary River. These parks are special places where people can go to see amazing animals. Imagine spotting colorful birds or playful monkeys right from the riverbank! It's like a hidden treasure chest of wildlife waiting to be discovered.

At the very end of the Javary River, where it joins a much bigger river called the Amazon, there's a town called Benjamin Constant. This town sits right on the edge of Brazil. It's a place where people live and work, with the big, flowing Javary River right in their backyard.
