ISRO: India's Space Explorers!

ISRO stands for the Indian Space Research Organisation. Think of them as India's very own space explorers! They are like the scientists and engineers who build awesome rockets and send them zooming into the sky. Their main office is in a city called Bengaluru. ISRO is in charge of all the cool space stuff India does, like sending satellites to take pictures of Earth or exploring other planets.

A long, long time ago, in 1962, a group of smart people started a space club called INCOSPAR. Then, in 1969, it became ISRO! Their very first satellite, named Aryabhata, was launched by another country's rocket.

But soon, ISRO built its own rockets! In 1980, they launched a satellite all by themselves. Imagine building your own toy rocket and then actually launching it – that's what ISRO did, but way, way bigger!

ISRO's work helps everyone! Their satellites can help us know when a big storm is coming so we can stay safe. They can also help doctors talk to people far away using special technology. Plus, ISRO's amazing rockets help launch satellites that give us GPS to find our way and help us learn more about our planet. They even send robots to the Moon and Mars!

ISRO builds and launches many different kinds of satellites. Some are like super-powered cameras that take pictures of Earth, helping us see forests, oceans, and even cities. Others are like giant radios that help us talk to each other across long distances.

ISRO also has special navigation systems, like GPS, that help cars and phones know exactly where they are. They are even building rockets that can go all the way to the Moon and Mars!
