At its biggest, it was so huge that if you wanted to walk from one end to the other, it would take you many, many days! They were famous for their strong soldiers and building incredible roads and buildings that are still around today.

How Did Rome Get So Big?

It all began a super long time ago, over 2,000 years back! Rome started as a small city, but its people were very clever and brave. They had a super organized army that was really good at fighting and winning battles. They also made friends with other places and sometimes invited them to join their big Roman family. This helped them control lots of land and become super powerful.

Roman Superpowers!

The Romans were amazing builders! They built roads that were so straight and strong, some are still used today. They built giant stadiums called Colosseums where people watched exciting games, and aqueducts, which were like giant water slides for carrying water to cities. They also invented things like concrete, which is super strong, and even early versions of newspapers to share news!

Why We Still Talk About Rome

Even though the Roman Empire isn't around anymore, we still see its influence everywhere! Many languages spoken today, like Spanish and French, came from the Latin language the Romans spoke. Their ideas about laws and how to run a government are still used in many countries. So, the Romans helped shape the world we live in today in lots of cool ways!
