Meet the Amazing Sultan!

Iltutmish was a super important king, called a Sultan, who ruled a long, long time ago. He was the first king to rule from a city called Delhi. Before him, other kings ruled there, but Iltutmish made Delhi the main spot for his kingdom. He was so good at being a leader that people call him the real founder of the Delhi Sultanate. He was born a slave but became a powerful ruler!

From Slave to King!

Iltutmish had a tough start. When he was a boy, he was sold as a slave. He lived in different places and had different owners. But then, a kind ruler named Qutb ud-Din Aibak bought him. Iltutmish was very smart and brave, so he became Aibak's favorite helper. He even got his own special area to manage! He proved he was a great leader, and eventually, he became the Sultan himself.

Making His Kingdom Strong!

Once Iltutmish was Sultan, he had to make sure everyone listened to him. There were other rulers who tried to take over, but Iltutmish was a fantastic fighter. He traveled all over, making sure his kingdom was safe and sound. He even fought against invaders from far away! He was like a superhero protecting his people and his land.

Building a Better Kingdom!

Iltutmish didn't just fight battles; he was also a great builder. He made sure his kingdom had a good system for money, creating new coins that everyone used. He also divided his land into parts for his helpers. Plus, he built beautiful buildings like mosques and places for people to rest. He even made a big water tank for travelers!
