Who Were These Awesome Explorers?

Hunter-gatherers were people who lived a super long time ago, before farms were invented! They didn't have grocery stores, so they had to find all their food themselves. They would hunt animals for meat and gather yummy berries, nuts, and roots from the wild. It was like a giant, never-ending scavenger hunt for survival! They were the original adventurers of our planet.

Where Did They Roam?

These amazing people lived all over the world! From the icy lands of the Arctic, where they hunted seals and whales, to the hot savannas of Africa, where they chased antelopes. They also lived in forests, deserts, and near big rivers. Wherever they went, they learned to use the plants and animals around them to survive. They were like nature's experts!

What Did They Eat?

Their menu was super varied! If they were lucky hunters, they might eat juicy meat from animals like deer or mammoths. But they also ate lots of plants! They'd munch on sweet berries, crunchy nuts, tasty roots dug from the ground, and yummy mushrooms. They were omnivores, meaning they ate both plants and animals. It was a feast of whatever nature provided!

Why Are They So Cool?

Hunter-gatherers were super smart and creative! They invented tools like sharp stone axes and spears to help them hunt and prepare food. They learned to make fire for warmth and cooking, which was a HUGE deal! They also lived in small groups, sharing everything and telling stories around the campfire. They were the first humans to really understand and live with nature.
