Homer Simpson

Homer Simpson is the main character in a super popular cartoon called The Simpsons! He's a dad with a wife named Marge and three kids: Bart, Lisa, and Maggie. Homer works at a nuclear power plant, but he's not always the best at his job.

He loves to eat yummy junk food, watch TV, and drink fizzy drinks. Even though he sometimes makes silly mistakes, Homer really loves his family and tries his best to protect them.

Homer first showed up on TV way back in 1987, in a short cartoon before the main show even started! A cartoonist named Matt Groening drew him. It took a little while, but then, in 1989, The Simpsons became its own full show!

Homer's voice sounds funny because the person who makes his voice, Dan Castellaneta, used to do a funny impression of an old actor. Now, Homer's voice is famous all over the world!

One of the funniest things about Homer is his special sound: 'D'oh!' He says it when something goes wrong, like when he bumps his head or forgets something important.
