Henry Beaufort was a very important man who lived a super long time ago, way back in the 1300s and 1400s! He was like a VIP in England. He wasn't a king, but he was part of the royal family.

His dad was the son of a king, which made Henry a prince, sort of! He had some very important jobs, like being a bishop, which is like a leader in a church, and he even helped the king by being on his special team called the 'King's Council'. He was a busy guy!

Henry came from a very famous family called the House of Plantagenet. His dad was John of Gaunt, who was the third son of King Edward III. That's like being the grandson of a king!

Henry's mom, Katherine Swynford, was special too. She was his dad's friend, and then they got married. Henry and his brothers and sisters were the first children their parents had together.
