A Princess on the Run!

Henrietta was born a princess in England, but when she was just a tiny baby, her country was in a big fight called a Civil War. To stay safe, she had to leave England with her mom and travel all the way to France! She grew up in a fancy castle with her cousin, King Louis XIV, who was like the most important person in France. She was known there as 'Minette', which is a cute nickname!

Marrying a Prince!

When Henrietta grew up, she married a prince named Philippe, who was also her cousin! They lived in France, and she became a Duchess. But even though she was a princess, life wasn't always easy. Sometimes she and her husband disagreed about things, and it could be a bit tricky. It shows that even royal people have their ups and downs!

The Secret Mission!

Henrietta was super smart and brave! She helped make a very important secret agreement between England and France. It was called the Secret Treaty of Dover. She was like a secret agent, talking to people and making sure the deal was made. This was a really big deal for both countries, and she did it right before she sadly passed away when she was only 26 years old.

A Royal Family Tree

Henrietta had children, and one of her daughters, Anne Marie, had a family that later had claims to the throne of England. This means her family was still important even after she was gone. So, even though she was a princess who had to flee her home, Henrietta of England made a big impact on history!
