Imagine a scary movie series all about Halloween! The main bad guy is named Michael Myers. When he was a little kid, he did something very naughty and was sent to a special hospital.

But guess what? Fifteen years later, he escaped! He went back to his hometown, a place called Haddonfield, and started causing a lot of frights.

The movies mostly happen on Halloween, which is the perfect time for spooky adventures!

The very first Halloween movie came out way back in 1978. That's older than your parents! It was written by two clever people, John Carpenter and Debra Hill. They got ideas from other scary movies. This first movie was so popular that it made lots of other scary movies want to be like it. Since then, there have been many more movies about Michael Myers, with some coming out every few years.

These movies are super famous because they are like a puzzle! There are so many movies, and sometimes they don't all connect in the same way. It's like a 'Choose Your Own Adventure' book, but for movies! People love trying to figure out all the different stories. Plus, the movies have made a TON of money, more than many other scary movie series. That shows how much people enjoy them!

Even though Michael Myers is very scary, there are brave people who try to stop him! One of the main heroes is a character named Laurie Strode. She has to be super strong and clever to try and get away from Michael. There's also a doctor named Dr. Samuel Loomis who tries to understand Michael and keep everyone safe. They are always trying to outsmart the masked man!
