Imagine staying at the same school for your whole life, from kindergarten all the way to graduation! That's kind of like Guillermo José Torres. He was born in Puerto Rico in 1944. He worked at the same TV station, WAPA-TV, for an amazing 43 years! That's longer than most kids are in school. He was a news reporter and anchorman, telling people what was happening in the world.
A Hero's Journey
Before Guillermo became a famous newsman, he was a brave soldier! He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a Captain. He also served in the Puerto Rico Air National Guard. This means he helped protect people. After his time in the army, he started his incredible career in television, sharing important stories with everyone.

Guillermo José Torres didn't just work a long time; he set a world record! The Guinness World Records people said he had the longest career as a news anchorman at the same station.
