Frank Ragnow

Imagine a giant on the football field! That's kind of like Frank Ragnow. He was a center, which means he was the player right in the middle of the action, snapping the ball to start every play. He played for the Detroit Lions for seven whole years, which is a really long time in football! He was so good that fans loved cheering for him.

Frank started playing football when he was a kid, dreaming of big games. He went to college at the University of Arkansas and played for their team, the Razorbacks. He was so awesome there that he was named an All-American twice! That's like being picked as one of the best players in the whole country, not just on his team.

Being a center is super important. Frank had to be really strong and smart. He had to block big, strong players from the other team who wanted to get to his quarterback. After many exciting games and amazing plays, Frank Ragnow decided to hang up his helmet in June 2025. He retired from playing professional football.
