Detroit Lions

Did you know the Lions weren't always in Detroit? They started way back in 1928 in a town called Portsmouth, Ohio. Back then, they were called the Portsmouth Spartans! But they moved to Detroit in 1934. The people in Detroit loved lions, so they named the team after the big, strong cats. It's like naming your pet after your favorite superhero!

The Lions have won some super important games a long, long time ago. Between 1935 and 1957, they were champions four times! That's like winning the biggest prize at the school fair four times in a row! Even though they haven't won the biggest championship game in a while, they keep trying their best every single game.
