Key Facts
Where is Farah Province?
Imagine a giant map of the world! Farah Province is in the country of Afghanistan, way over on the western side. It's so big that it touches another country called Iran!
It's like having a giant playground that stretches all the way to your neighbor's fence. This province is divided into 11 smaller areas called districts, and in those districts are hundreds and hundreds of villages where people live their lives.
What's it Like There?
Farah Province is HUGE! It's about 48,000 square kilometers. That's like having two big states the size of Maryland put together!
Even though it's so big, not many people live there, so it feels quite spread out. Most people live in the countryside, in villages, and they are from different groups of people. They speak a language called Pashto, and some also speak Dari.
The capital city, where the main government buildings are, is called Farah City.
Fun Places to See!
If you ever visited Farah Province, you could see some really cool places! There are special gardens like Pul Garden, New Garden, and Kafee Garden, which must be beautiful with lots of flowers and trees. There's also a special shrine called the shrine of Sultan Amir, which is a very important place for people to visit and remember someone special.
And guess what? There's even a place called Kafer Castle, which sounds like it could be a real adventure to explore!
How People Live and Work
Most people in Farah Province live in villages and work on farms. They grow things and raise animals. It's a very rural place, meaning it's mostly countryside, not big busy cities.
They are connected to other parts of Afghanistan and even to Iran because there's a road that goes right to the border. There's even an airport near Farah City, which is like a special landing strip for planes to come and go.
