Welcome to Eswatini!
Eswatini is a small country in Africa, like a tiny jewel nestled between bigger neighbors. It's so small that you could drive from one end to the other in just a couple of hours! Even though it's small, it has big mountains and hot, dry plains.
The capital city is Mbabane, where lots of people live and work. It's a place with a rich culture and traditions that have been passed down for many, many years.
A Kingdom with a King!
Eswatini is a kingdom, which means it has a king! The king is named Mswati III, and he's been the ruler for a long time. The people of Eswatini are called Swazis, and they have their own special language called siSwati.
They have a special dance called the Umhlanga, where girls carry reeds. They also have another important dance for the king called Incwala. These dances are super important to their culture!
Adventures in Eswatini!
Even though Eswatini is small, it has lots of different places to see. There are cool, windy mountains in the north and hot, sunny lowlands in the south. This means you can find all sorts of plants and animals. It's like having many different playgrounds all in one country! The people here are very friendly and proud of their home.
Friends with Neighbors!
Eswatini shares borders with two big countries, South Africa and Mozambique. It's like being in a neighborhood where you know your neighbors really well. They trade things with each other and help each other out. Eswatini uses money called the lilangeni, and it's worth the same as South Africa's money to make trading easier.
