Queen Elizabeth II was born a long, long time ago, in 1926, in a big city called London. She became queen when she was only 25 years old, which is still pretty young! But guess what?

She was queen for over 70 years! That's longer than most people live! She was the queen of many countries, like the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.

She was like a super-important leader for a very, very long time.

When Elizabeth was a little girl, she didn't know she'd be queen. Her uncle was supposed to be king, but he decided not to be. Then her dad became king, and Elizabeth became the next in line.

She went to school at home and even helped out during a big war by driving a truck! Later, she got married to Prince Philip, and they had four children. Being queen meant she had lots of important jobs to do all over the world.

Queen Elizabeth II met so many people! She met 14 presidents of the United States, which is a lot! She also visited faraway places like China and Russia. She even met five different popes! Imagine all the stories she could tell. She celebrated special birthdays as queen, like her Silver (25 years), Golden (50 years), Diamond (60 years), and Platinum (70 years) anniversaries. That's a lot of cake!

Queen Elizabeth II was the longest-reigning queen in history. That means she was queen longer than any other queen ever! She saw so many changes in the world during her life. Even though she was a queen, she was also a mom and a grandma. She was a very important person who was loved by many people for a very long time. When she passed away at 96 years old, her son Charles became the new king.
