Edward Teller

He was so good at thinking about how things work that he became known as the 'father of the hydrogen bomb.' He also came up with other cool science ideas that scientists still use today. Edward Teller was born in 1908, way before your parents or grandparents were born! He grew up and then moved all the way across the ocean to America. He was part of a special group of scientists from Hungary who came to the US.

They were sometimes called 'Martians' because they were so brilliant and came from far away. Edward worked with other smart people to figure out how to make new kinds of bombs.

Edward Teller was a key part of creating the hydrogen bomb, which is way more powerful than the first atomic bombs.
