King Edward, the Warrior!

Imagine a king who was also a super-strong warrior! That was Edward III. He became king when he was just a young boy, only 14 years old. His dad, King Edward II, wasn't very popular, so Edward III took over. He was really good at fighting and made England a super strong country in Europe. He even looked like he could heal people just by touching them, like a real-life superhero!

Starting a Big Fight!

Edward III really wanted to be the king of France too! This made him start a very, very long war called the Hundred Years' War. It wasn't really 100 years, but it lasted for ages, from 1337 to 1453! Edward won some amazing battles, like the Battle of Crécy, where his archers were super powerful. He was like a star player on the battlefield, leading his soldiers to victory.

A Long, Long Time on the Throne!

Edward III ruled England for a super long time, 50 years! That's longer than most people live. During his time, England changed a lot. They even started having a Parliament, which is like a big meeting where important people talk about rules. But it wasn't all fun and games. A terrible sickness called the Black Death also happened, which was very sad.

Did He Win It All?

At first, Edward III was amazing at war and won lots of land in France. He even made a deal where he got to keep some French lands. But later in his life, he got sick and couldn't fight as much. The English lost some of the lands they had won. Even though he had some tough times later, Edward III is remembered as one of England's most famous warrior kings.
