This city has a history that goes way, way back. Long ago, people named it after Ehecatl, the wind god, because of those windy hills. Later, people added 'de Morelos' to honor a brave hero named José María Morelos who helped Mexico become free. Lots and lots of people call Ecatepec home, making it one of the busiest cities in Mexico! People here celebrate Saint Christopher, whose special day is July 25th. There's also a super-duper big shopping center where you can find almost anything you can imagine!
