Ecatepec de Morelos

Ecatepec is a HUGE city in Mexico, near the even bigger Mexico City! It's so big that it's like a giant playground for people. The name 'Ecatepec' actually means 'windy hill' because it's a place where the wind loves to blow. It's a busy place, full of homes and lots of people living together. Think of it as a bustling neighborhood that just keeps going and going!

This city has a history that goes way, way back. Long ago, people named it after Ehecatl, the wind god, because of those windy hills. Later, people added 'de Morelos' to honor a brave hero named José María Morelos who helped Mexico become free. It's like the city has two special names, one for its windy nature and one for its brave past. It’s a place that remembers its stories!

Lots and lots of people call Ecatepec home, making it one of the busiest cities in Mexico! People here celebrate Saint Christopher, whose special day is July 25th. You can find cool places like a big church called Catedral del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús and a museum where you can learn about history. There's also a super-duper big shopping center where you can find almost anything you can imagine!

Even though it's a giant city, getting around is pretty easy! You can hop on the Mexico City metro, which is like a speedy underground train. There are also special bus lines called Mexibús that zip you around, and even a cool cable car system called Mexicable that floats above the city like a magical ride! It’s like having lots of different ways to explore this amazing place.
