Early Human Migrations: The Great Adventure!

A long, long time ago, all humans lived in one place: Africa! It was like their giant home. But as families grew, some brave people decided to explore.

They packed their bags (well, they didn't really have bags!) and started walking. They followed animals, looked for new food, and found amazing new places to live. It was like a super long road trip that lasted for thousands and thousands of years!

Why did they leave their cozy home? One big reason was food! They were hunters and gatherers, meaning they hunted animals and picked plants to eat. When the animals they hunted moved to new areas, the humans followed. They also looked for places with lots of yummy berries, nuts, and roots. It was like following a treasure map, but the treasure was dinner! This helped them discover new lands.

These early humans were super explorers! They walked across hot deserts, climbed tall mountains, and even crossed icy lands. They learned to make warm clothes from animal skins and build shelters to stay safe.

They traveled so far that they ended up on every continent except Antarctica! Think about walking all the way around your school playground, then imagine doing that for your whole life, over and over!

This amazing journey is why we have people living all over the world today! Our ancestors were the first explorers, spreading out from Africa and adapting to all sorts of different environments. They learned to live in cold places, hot places, and places with lots of water. Every person on Earth today is part of this incredible story of human adventure and discovery.
