Daniele da Volterra

Imagine an artist who loved to paint and make sculptures! That was Daniele da Volterra. He was born a long, long time ago in a town called Volterra in Italy. He was so good at art that people remember him even today. He made beautiful paintings and statues that people still admire.

He added clothes to the people in the painting, and everyone started calling him 'Il Braghettone', which means 'the breeches maker'!
