Imagine a brave soldier named Craterus! He lived a super long time ago, around 370 BC. Craterus was a general, which means he was a leader of soldiers.

He was a super loyal friend to Alexander the Great, one of history's most famous kings. Craterus was known for being strong and dependable, always fighting bravely by Alexander's side in big battles. He was part of the Macedonian army, which was like a super-team of warriors!

Adventures with Alexander the Great!

Craterus went on amazing adventures with Alexander the Great all over the world! He helped lead the big group of foot soldiers, called the phalanx, in a famous battle called the Battle of Issus. He even got to lead his own mission against some tough people called the Tapurians.

In another big battle, near a river called the Hydaspes, Craterus and his soldiers waited until the very end to cross the river. He was always there to help Alexander win!

A Hero's Life and a Sad End

Craterus did more than just fight. He even got married to a princess named Amastris! Later, when Alexander the Great sadly passed away, Craterus was asked to help lead the army and protect the kingdom. He sailed with his own navy to help in a war called the Lamian War. Sadly, Craterus was killed in a battle when his horse fell on him. It was a very sad day, but his bravery was remembered.
