Meet the Giant University!

Cornell University is a super big school where lots of smart people learn and teach. It's like a small city filled with classrooms, libraries, and even places to play! It was started a long, long time ago by two friends, Ezra Cornell and Andrew Dickson White.

They wanted to create a place where anyone could learn, no matter who they were. Today, it's one of the most famous universities in the whole world!

How Did Cornell Get So Big?

Cornell University started in 1865. That's even before your grandparents were born! Ezra Cornell, who was very good at making money, and Andrew Dickson White, a wise teacher, worked together to build it.

They wanted it to be a place for everyone. Now, it has so many students, it's like filling up a whole stadium! Students come from all over the United States and even from different countries to study there.

What's So Special About Cornell?

Cornell is special because it has so many different kinds of learning. There are eight main parts called colleges, and each one teaches different things, like farming, art, or even how to be a doctor. It's also special because many super-smart people who have won Nobel Prizes, which are like the biggest awards for smart ideas, have studied or taught at Cornell.

That's like having a whole team of superheroes for brains!

A Campus Like No Other!

The main part of Cornell University is in a beautiful place called Ithaca, New York. The campus is HUGE, covering 745 acres. That's bigger than 1,000 football fields! It has amazing buildings, beautiful nature, and even a farm where students learn about growing food. Cornell also has special places in New York City and even far away in Qatar, a country in the Middle East!
