Cog (project)

Cog was a super cool robot built a long time ago at a famous school called MIT. Think of it like a very smart toy that wanted to learn about people. It had a head, arms, and a body, kind of like you!

Cog's main idea was that to be really smart, like humans, it needed to spend lots of time with people and learn from them, just like a baby learns from its parents. It was designed to look at faces and listen to sounds, trying to figure out what was happening around it.

Cog was built with a special idea: robots can learn best by watching and interacting with people. It was like Cog was going to school, but instead of books, it had people! When people smiled at Cog or talked to it, Cog would try to understand and respond.
