Meet Prophet Muhammad's Family!

Prophet Muhammad, a very important person in history, had a family just like many people do! He had sons and daughters who were a big part of his life. Imagine having brothers and sisters; Prophet Muhammad had them too! They lived a long time ago, in a place called Arabia. Let's find out who they were and what their lives were like.

Who Were His Children?

Prophet Muhammad had seven children in total: three sons and four daughters. His sons were named Abd Allah, Ibrahim, and Qasim. His daughters were named Zaynab, Ruqayya, Umm Kulthum, and Fatima. Most of his children were born to his first wife, Khadija, but one son, Ibrahim, was born to another wife named Maria. It's interesting that none of his sons grew up to be adults.

A Special Daughter

While Prophet Muhammad had four daughters, one daughter named Fatima was especially close to him. She lived longer than her brothers and sisters and was very loved. Some people believe Fatima was his only biological daughter. She was a very important person in her own right. It's wonderful to learn about her special connection with her father.

A Foster Son Too!

Besides his own children, Prophet Muhammad also had a foster son named Zayd ibn Harithah. A foster son is like a son who is raised in the family. Zayd was very important to Prophet Muhammad and was like a son to him. This shows that families can be made up of many different kinds of people who love and care for each other.
